From the front door of the home, it is a mere 200 steps to the beach! Swim in the clear emerald waters of the Gulf, hop the waves, sunbathe in the Florida sun, or play in the powder-like white sands of America's #1 beach. If you are an early riser, the sunrises can be magnificent. Otherwise, be sure to catch one of our famous sunsets on the beach. There is a kids playground and a public bath house on the beach too!
Take a dip in the sparkling swimming pool located less than 50 steps from the front door! The pool area includes restrooms with showers, as well as plenty of seating. Pool hours are generally 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult and there is no lifeguard on duty.
Work remotely, attend virtual meetings or online school while visiting! We have high-speed Gigabit Internet service with the latest mesh WiFi technology. This lets many devices be online without interference.
Margarita Villa B is a beautiful ground floor beach home located in the coveted Destiny Beach Villas of Crystal Beach! It has 2 bedrooms; a Master with ensuite bathroom, and a 2nd bedroom with a two twin/full bunk beds that kids just LOVE! A second full bath is in the hall. The home is setup with a well-equipped kitchen and a living area with a large HDTV equipped with Roku. It’s an ideal layout for a long family vacation, a quick getaway, or a friend-cation.
Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished throughout, each bedroom and the living area has ceiling fans and an HDTV equipped with Roku streaming capability; just bring your own logins from your favorite streaming services or your account login for your cable provider -- Roku offers a ton of free options as well.
The rear of the home is on the shore of Four Prong Lake with a spacious deck to relax and enjoy the Florida beach weather and the water view. This fresh-water lake is generally so clear that you can see the bottom for quite some ways out from shore. You can watch the waterfowl, fish, and the myriad of turtles that live in the lake. There is a lakeside walking path. Swimming in the lake is not allowed. You cannot fish in the lake, but it is allowed on the beach, with a fishing license.
The unit has its own water heater and an HVAC system with smart thermostat and ceiling fans for your maximum comfort. With its own entrance and private lakefront deck, there are no shared areas. The only stairs required are the 3 steps to enter the home.
Note: We do get questions about our reviews. During most of the year, guests rent the entire home as a single 4-bedroom unit. At times, we offer it as 2 separate 2-bedroom units. As a result, we have many fewer reviews for the 2-bedroom units.
—— HOME LAYOUT ——

You will enter into the living area which extends to the kitchen/dining area. To the right of the kitchen will be a hall with the laundry center, entry to a bathroom with tub/shower, and the bedroom with bunk beds and closet. At the end of the hall is the Master bedroom with king bed, closet, and ensuite bath with a tub/shower. Both bedrooms have an exterior door that opens onto the front porch, where you will find chairs and a bench for enjoying your morning coffee or after-dinner beverage. From the living room, another exterior door opens onto the lakefront deck with outdoor dining table, and a gravity chaise lounge chair.
If you bring kids, we recommend a quick stop at the nearby PetSmart to buy a container of turtle food. The lake is teaming with them and they shouldn’t be fed anything else.

The kitchen is well-equipped with the glassware, dinnerware, serving ware, and cookware needed to create meals for your group. There is even a coffee bar area with a drip-brewer, k-cup maker, and an electric kettle. With a garbage disposal, microwave, dishwasher, oven and cooktop, and a larger refrigerator, there is plenty of room to store food, prepare meals, and then clean-up.
And, of course, there are Margarita glasses, but you need to provide your own Margaritas.

Guests can park up to 2 vehicles in the lot. Spaces are not assigned, but parking passes are provided. If you choose to rent a golf cart during your visit, it counts as one of the 2 vehicles.
Permits *must* be displayed or vehicles will be towed. Due to being directly across from the beach, tourists commonly try to park in our private lot when the public lot is full, The community vigorously enforces this to ensure there is sufficient parking for our residents and guests.

* We and our team do our very best to see that these items are stocked. However, it is just not possible to inventory every item after every stay. If we have not been alerted by a guest that they have used some these things so we can replenish it, you may not find it to be present. In everyone’s interest, we do ask that guests try to replace what they use — in terms of foil, salt/pepper, spices, oils, first aid items, etc.
—— BOOKING INFORMATION ——
A cleaning fee of up to $190 per stay is added to your total at checkout. We offer optional mid-stay cleans as well. Contact us for pricing as it is seasonal.
There is a resort fee of no more than $27 per stay.
A refundable security deposit of $300 is required. This is done by placing a hold on the card you provide. The hold is released after departure and an inspection has been done - generally within 4-7 days.
Once the reservation is made, you will get a confirmation email from us with a link and instructions to finalize your booking. If you do not see it in your Inbox within an hour, check your "junk mail" folder.
The Renter of record must:
・be at least 25 yrs of age,
・provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID,
・be present during the whole stay (No third-party bookings),
・place a credit card with us for the security deposit "hold",
・must sign our rental agreement, and
・provide a list of names and ages of the entire party and email addresses of all adults.
Our pricing is updated frequently to reflect local rental trends, our availability, demand, and other factors. As those things change, the rental costs can rise or fall accordingly. Get your inquiry in to lock in the rental rates for your dates.
Important: The renter agreement, contact info, and credit card for the deposit must be completed within 24 hours or your reservation may be cancelled.
▶︎ Our cancellation policy is: Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund of monies paid less the 3% credit card processing cost.
▶︎ We regret that we are unable to accommodate any requests for early arrival or late checkout. In the rare situations where we can, there is an additional charge of $50 for the first hour and $25 for each additional hour or portion of an hour.
▶︎ After booking, we will send you an invitation to our Margarita Villa digital guidebook. This tool contains much information about the home, has instructions for the use of appliances, contains WiFi connection information, and includes idea on restaurants and activities taken from our own experiences. We are constantly updating and adding information. You can view it on the web, save as a PDF, print it, or save it to your phone's homescreen for easy access.
—— TRAVEL INSURANCE ——
We *strongly* encourage you to consider acquiring travel insurance if you have any concerns about needing to cancel for any reason, including inclement weather. You will be presented with potential options at checkout, from our service provider. You can, of course, find many online sources of travel protection policies. There are time limits on certain types of coverage and policies, especially the Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) policies, so please do not delay.
—— ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE COVERAGE ——
We cover your booking for up to $500 of accidental damages. This is "no-hassle coverage" that protects against breakage and other accidental damage. There is no need to select this coverage from the listing site.
Basic guidelines of the accidental damage coverage are:
・Guest must report damage, with photo(s), at the time it occurs to consider it for coverage. That is generally the only thing a guest needs to do.
・Damage reported after departure will not be covered.
・Linens and towels are excluded from this coverage.
・Coverage is only for “accidental” damage.
・This will not cover “services” needed to address the damage, such as shipping/delivery fees, rush charges, extra cleaning, etc.
Costs for damages that exceed our coverage or are excluded will be charged against the security deposit, then to the card on file if necessary.
—— TOP RULES ——
We enjoy hosting and sharing our home with others and have been doing it for several years. We've received many 5-star reviews, letters expressing appreciation, and repeat guests. The house rules are outlined here in the listing as well as in communications you will receive from us. But, we have a few more serious rules that, if broken, will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. These are:
- Animals are not allowed under any circumstances.
- Events or parties are prohibited.
- No smoking of any kind.
- You cannot exceed the number of people on your booking.
- Drugs or other illegal activities are not tolerated and will be reported.
- We do not accept third-party bookings.
We use multiple interior and exterior noise monitoring devices to ensure that we, or our guests, do not violate City of Destin noise ordinances and the prohibition of parties and events. If the noise level exceeds acceptable levels, you will be contacted.
There are also video cameras in the front of the home. There are no interior views.
Please remember that you are not staying in a hotel, you are staying in our home. While there is nobody onsite, our Housekeeping/Maintenance team is just a phone call away and we are available by email, text, or message.

Rates & Availability
Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
About the Owner
Retired from a long and worthwhile career in technology, government, and executive management involving significant domestic and International travel (Chuck).
Retired with extensive customer service and hospitality experience and skills as a former Disney cast member (Vicki).
Together, we decided to become hosts and manage our own short-term rental. Our first venture was in Gatlinburg, Tennessee - gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a success.
We added a few more in the same area and created 'Our Smoky Mountain Rentals' to handle the listings. Then we decided to add a beach property and settled on Destin, FL area! Not long after we were able to offer a handful of listings in Destin and Miramar Beach as 'Silver Sands Rentals'.
We have since consolidated all of our listings under our new brand, 'Remarkable Vacation Rentals'.
We have enjoyed every moment of our hosting journey. The delight that comes with knowing that a group of friends, or a family, has made lasting memories in one of our homes is always a thrill, no matter how often it happens.
